Learning Opportunities at the Wexner Center for Arts, Ohio State University
Programs and Activities for Teachers, School Groups, Families, Teens, and Adults
-
Family-friendly tours through current exhibits, and interactive, hands-on projects help young artists develop their talents. Summer youth programs are meant to nurture creativity. Always age appropriate, many are free or low cost.
-
Programs give teens ages 14-18 a chance to encounter and respond to art of our time. The studio workshops called Wexlab, feature discussions and hands on work with artists, visits to exhibitions, and free refreshments.
-
Programs for adults bring in leading artists and world-class scholars for gallery talks and symposia. Interact with filmakers and choreographers in lectures, discussions, and question and answer sessions before or after screenings and performances.
-
Expand your Classroom! Programs for school groups complement curriculums - emphasize active looking and learning. Students of all grade levels K-12 develop critical-thinking and comprehension skills.
-
For teachers, workshops and resource materials explore issues in contemporary art and culture and to help prepare for students visits. Sign up for graduate level courses, created in tandem with Wexner Center programs.
