Gahanna City Council Moves Ahead With Marina Improvements

New Paddleboat Marina At Mill Race

A request for $65,000.00 has been approved by the Gahanna City Council. The money will provide upgrades that will allow paddleboats to operate from spring on, as well as providing funding for further marina developments including bank enforcement, landscaping, walkways and a portable cart for marina operations.

The new development will be located at the north end of Mill Race and will be constructed using sandstone as opposed to concrete as sandstone complies with the overall design of the area.

In the last 18 months Gahanna’s Parks and Recreation Department has seen upgrades completed concerning erosion control along the Big Walnut Creek. The development and parks committee of Gahanna City Council now plans to move forward with redevelopment of the paddleboat marina.
