Realtor Care Day 2008 in Columbus Area, Ohio

Giving back to a community is important, on June 5th of 2008 the annual "Realtor Care Day" was organized where over 500 Realtors, Affiliates and their friends and family all volunteered their time to improve 19 properties in the Central Ohio area.

Columbus city council members thanked volunteers for giving up their time so generously. The event attracted over $23,000 in financial contributions and over $24,000 in kind donations of labor and materials. Extensive manual labor was required and provided for the 24 different community service projects in the area at the following locations: Bexley, Canal Winchester, Centerburg, Clintonville, Columbus, Delaware County, Dublin, Italian Village, Johnstown, Madison County, New Albany, Powell, Reynoldsburg, Sunbury, Washington Court House, Westerville, Worthington, and Upper Arlington.

In New Albany the project was particularly notable as it was the first time that there has been one in New Albany – however, there was not just one, but two projects with over 18 volunteers! One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning was spend aiding a senior citizen in her 80′s with some general maintenence jobs on her home. In the afternoon the team helped improve the environment around the home of an 8 year old suffering from a rare form of cancer.

These events show what a great community spirit there is in the area. If you are considering purchasing a home in the area then contact the Raines Group for more information.
