New Albany Village Council to buy property on E. Main Street in New Albany old village
The Village of New Albany council has voted 5-1 in favor of purchasing a property in E. Main Street in the old village to be used as council offices to give them a real presence in the old downtown.
The plans fo rthe potential purchase of a local in the old village was something which the council set in motion two or three years ago and finally weeks the plans have started to come to fruition.
Village administrator Joe Stefanov says that the presence in the center of New Albany meets the long and short term goals of the council and with their hope of using some of the offices for TechColumbus they hope to spur further growth from technology companies locating to the area.
