New Albany Ohio Development: Renovation on Donated Phelp’s House Timetabled
The property - dubbed the "Phelps House" needs some serious renovation work including works to the foundations as well as the creation of the most expensive item, the parking lot. The original estimate was around $136,000 however, the most current figure puts renovation costs at over $288,000!
The swift renovation of the property is crucial for the center to get selling tickets to events! Plans are currently on the table for the minimal renovations to be carried out and then whilst the center is functioning normally the landscaping and final renovations are carried out. The council will discuss these plans on August 19th.
The property was donated to the council in 2005 and it is estimated to be between 125 and 150 years old! The new center will of course contribute to the vibrant community that is New Albany and its thriving arts scene.
