New Albany Ohio: Abercrombie and Fitch Challenge 2008

Time to get fit! The 2008 Abercrombie and Fitch challenge has been and gone and was a great success! The event was held on September 13th and was well turned out by hundreds who were out for their cause. The challenge encompassed a 5k run and/or a 20k bike ride.

The reward after the event was live music, food and beverages as well as entertainment for the participants. All funds raised through the 2008 A&F Challenge will support the Ohio State University Medical Center’s Program for Health. This program aims to prevent, diagnose and treat inflammatory bowel disease as well as women oriented cancers. Definately a cause worth keeping fit for.

The course was a grueling one! For the cyclists, with safety in mind, helmets were required. The $30 preregistration/$35 registration fee on the day was waived for children ages 12 an under when accompanied by an adult. A great way to teach the kids about giving back to their community as well as keeping healthy.

New Albany is the home to Abercrombie and Fitch as well as a great community with a real small town spirit.
