The Council signed off on the preliminary plans for Terra Alta, a 483-unit development on 245.9 acres to the east of Pollock Road and north of Braumiller Road along the Olentangy River. The builder plans to construct 316 single-family homes worth $300,000 to $400,000 as well as 167 condos valued at $200,000 to $300,000 ready for occupancy in 2010.
Despite being preliminary plans, the developer plans to keep the development woody with plenty of trees and the other land use in the community will be designated as green space. Lots will range from 10,000 square feet to 16,000 square feet.
The only real concern is by the fire chief who is anxious to maintain response times. What is certain is that the coming months will be an interesting chapter in this development and Delaware Ohio’s future.
