Dublin Ohio Community – 2008 A Busy Year for Dublin City, 2009 Looks Just as Busy!
Dublin Ohio has been going flat out in 2008 and the pace is set to continue into 2009. What with the opening of a brand new $150 million hospital in 2008, the purchase of a hometown company to the value of $2.3 billion (Wendy’s) as well as preparing for the city managers departure whilst overseeing the plans for a multi-billion dollar development! Phew!
2009 holds big plans for the city. Dublin City Council is hiring a new city manager in the first quarter of the new year, overseeing the continued construction of the U.S. Route 33/state Route 161/Post Road interchange reconfiguration – this project alone is expected to cost more than $50-million! City staff will also be planning the 2010 bicentennial celebration. – Lets not forget the planned Remembrance Grounds for Memorial Day!
The city certainly has alot going for it – Council Members are even talking about plans to create a Master Plan for the Historic Downtown Dublin to help preservation efforts. With such a huge amount of investment, it is no wonder that so many people want to relocate to Dublin and live and work in a community with so much to offer.
