Everyone loves roasting marshmallows over a campfire

The Blacklick Woods are the place to be tonight to celebrate the arrival of Spring and all of the wonder that it brings. Participants in the Celebrate Spring Campfire will take a short walk, looking for the first signs of Spring and enjoying the beautiful Blacklick Woods. After the walk there will be stories about Spring told around the campfire. The program is free and will begin at 7:00 p.m. today, Friday April 3rd. Blacklick Woods is one of the oldest Metro parks. It was established in 1948 for people to enjoy and includes a 55 acre swamp as well as a 100 acre beech-maple forest. With more than six miles of trails to enjoy by bike, or by foot the Blacklick Woods offers a natural environment in which to enjoy and educate yourself.
