Choosing a home can be a laborious process, but the agents at The Raines Group can make it easier. If you are considering a home in the Central Ohio Real Estate market, it is imperative to choose a broker who is knowledgeable about the area. The Raines Group specializes in Central Ohio Real Estate, and is happy to highlight this scholarship program being offered by the Village of New Albany, a sign of positive growth and development in the area.
New Albany is embarking on the second round of their Business Scholarship Program aimed at retention and growth for existing small and mid-sized businesses in the Village. The Department of Community Development will award six local business owners the opportunity to participate in a full year of business coaching with David and Linda Brincks of ActionCOACH Business Coaching (www.actioncoach.com/davidbrincks).
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of business owner’s receptivity to coaching, demonstrated desire to participate in the program, and willingness to provide feedback to the Village on key results achieved. Each scholarship has a market value of $3300.
Program will be for one year and includes the following components:
- Quarterly Planning Meetings – scholarship recipients will participate in full-day planning sessions designed to instill disciplines around business planning, goal setting and execution.
- Monthly Group Coaching Sessions – scholarship recipients will meet 8 times during the annual program in a group forum. During these sessions, they will be educated on a specific business-building concept or tactic, discuss progress, and bring their challenges to the table for direction, feedback and support.
The scholarship is open to all business owners who reside in the Village or operate their business within the Village of New Albany boundaries. Applications are available at the Village of New Albany offices and online at www.villageofnewalbany.com.
An informational session will be held at the Village Hall tonight, September 17 from 5:30-6:30 for any business owners wishing to learn more. Deadline for application is September 23, 2009.
Winners will be notified in writing on Friday, September 25, and the program will begin on Friday, October 2.
