Central Ohio Real Estate Shows Impressive Volume in October

Central Ohio real estate sales data was impressive for the month of October

October’s real estate data and statistics are in and sales volume was up in Central Ohio as well as around the country.  Data from the Columbus Board of Realtors shows that real estate sales volume in the Columbus area was at a three year high in October.  Sales were up over 25% compared with a year ago, an encouraging sign for Central Ohio real estate.

The First Time Home Buyer Tax credit is seen as a major catalyst for the improvement in Central Ohio real estate sales.  Other factors that are helping to stabilize the real estate market are low mortgage rates and reasonable home prices.
