Central Ohio Sees Modest Growth in New Home Construction
Central Ohio is seeing modest growth in new home construction. While no one feels at ease jumping up and down or holding a ticker tape parade touting that a real estate recovery is here, Central Ohio real estate sales are improving and positive steps are being made.
Central Ohio communities that have shown an increase in building activity include Grove City, Dublin, Hilliard, and New Albany.
In 2009, Grove City had over 140 homes begin construction. At a time when new home construction has been at a standstill across the country, the building trend in Central Ohio is impressive (though still modest compared to peak periods).
Whether you are interested in new home construction or an established home in a Central Ohio community, it is a great time to buy a home. The tax credit dictates that a home be under contract by the end of the month, and mortgage rates are still near their lowest rates.
