“Forever Fairtastic” at the 2012 Ohio State Fair
It’s that time of year again! The Ohio State Fair will be back at the Ohio Expo Center. There will be attractions, competitions, concerts, free entertainment, free live music, rides, food, and more to enjoy during July 25-August 5.
Opening Day: Wednesday, July 25th
The Opening Ceremony will take place at the Ohio Gate beginning at 9am with remarks from the Governor and Fair General Manager. Admission for opening day is only $3 before 3pm. Opening day activities include: comedy shows, live music, interactive craft demonstrations, and more before the fireworks begin at 9:45pm.
2012 State Fair Admission and Concerts
Admission gates are open from 9am – 10pm daily, except on August 5th when they will close at 8pm. Fair admission for adults ages 13-59 is $10, $8 for seniors 60+, $8 for youth ages 5-12, and free for children under five.
Many attractions and entertainment is free; however, several concerts at the 2012 Ohio State Fair charge for tickets. Check out the schedule below for a list of performers and the associated ticket prices:

How Much Do Rides Cost?
Ride tickets are $1 per coupon. Most kiddie rides require one coupon; super kiddie and spectacular rides require two coupons; super spectacular rides require three coupons. Special ride-all-day wristbands are available for $22.
Where Can I Park? How Much Does It Cost?
Parking is $5 per vehicle. With easy access to AAA Parking Lots from I-71 at the 17th Avenue exit and the Hudson Street exit at Silver Drive, riding the complimentary shuttle to and from the main entrance gate and your vehicle is very convenient. There is also handicapped parking available.
