Take a look at what fun events are happening near your Central Ohio home this March.
The McCoy Center in New Albany will be hosting NPR’s From the Top, a classical music program taped before a live audience. The performance starts at 8 p.m. on March 8.
The Columbus Museum of Art will be having the upcoming exhibit Strings Attached: The Living Tradition of Czech Puppets on March 8. Many of these puppets and costumes are over 150 years old. The exhibition will also feature puppet makers creating new works.
The Bexley Art Walk will take place on March 8 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Main Street. Visitors can take a peek at exhibits in the Hammond Harkins Gallery, Capital University Schumacher Gallery and Art Access.
Central Ohio Festivals
The Arnold Sports Festival will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center until March 3. This four-day festival will have plenty of entertaining events that include:
- Amateur Strong Man Competition
- Gymnastics Competition
- Fencing Competition
- Boxing/Martial Arts Competition
The Monterey Jazz Festival Tour is coming to the Lincoln Centre in Columbus on March 29. Performers include Dee Dee Bridgewater, Benny Green, Chris Potter, Christian McBride and more. Be sure to get your tickets in advance.

Paint a bowl during Family Clay Night at New Albany Middle School on March 13 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. As part of the Empty Bowls project, the painted bowls can be used for the Empty Bowls dinner in April. The project aims to raise donations for needy families in the district.
