Now that spring is finally here, we have quite a few outdoor events happening in Central Ohio, as well as upcoming performances and exhibits. Find out what’s happening near your neighborhood.
Have Fun Outside This April
Gahanna will be having an Earth Day Celebration on April 20. Help clean up Woodside Park between 10 a.m and 12 p.m. After the cleanup, there will be many fun activities like archery starting at noon.
Come out to the Clifton Shelter House in Bexley to watch the Canoe/Kayak Official Launch on April 20. Mayor Kessler, the Bexley Community Foundation and Bexley Recreation will all be there for the 9 a.m. event. Refreshments will be available.
OhioHealth will be holding a HOOFIT walking program at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on April 25. HOOFIT helps promote healthy living, and measures how many steps you take through the park. Be sure to reserve a spot if you’re interested.
Arts and Performances in Central Ohio
The New Albany Arts Council will be holding a Youth Music Competition. Auditions begin at 10 a.m. on April 6. Selected winners will go on to perform a concert for the public on April 7 at 3 p.m.
Check out the musical comedy Crazy For You on April 12 at the Schottenstein Theater in Bexley. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m.
Urban Art Space in Columbus will be featuring the Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Projects exhibition from April 9 to April 17. A reception will take place on April 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will include sculpture, painting, photography and more.
