Get ready for plenty of fall festivals and things to do this October in Central Ohio. Now that autumn is officially here, you can look forward to all sorts of seasonal activities like hay rides, pumpkin carving, and more. See what’s happening near your neighborhood.
Three October Festivals In The Columbus, OH Area
Bexley will host the Harvest Festival at the Jeffrey Mansion on October 11. Bring the kids out for free activities like: hayrides, corn maze, a bonfire, and live entertainment. Community groups will be selling food at the event.
Worthington will have a community Fall Fest on Saturday, October 12 at the Village Green from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can enjoy local arts and crafts, food, live entertainment, hayrides and children’s games.
Head over to Gahanna for the annual Creepside Festival on October 16 for an evening of Halloween fun. Creekside Park and Plaza will have all different types of events going on for families, which will include:
- Haunted Maze
- Pirate Cove With Pirate Games
- Trick Or Treat Trail
- Food, Games and Prizes
- And More

Three Central Ohio Arts Events
The Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus will feature the series The Hitchcock 9 starting October 10. Hitchcock 9 examines the first nine silent films Alfred Hitchcock directed; the series will include discussions about themes and issues within these early movies.
The New Albany Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the McCoy Community Center for the Arts. It starts at 3 p.m. on October 13.
The Brandt-Roberts Galleries in Columbus will feature the work of impressionist painter, Mark Gingerich. The show will begin on October 4 at 5:30 p.m.
