What: The unique urban market delivers a merchant mix reflective of the rich cultural diversity of central Ohio, including a wide array of locally grown produce, hand-crafted merchandise and delicious food, while providing a retail incubator for local entrepreneurs.

Short North Arts District Gallery Hop

When: Saturday September 6th [4pm-10pm]

Where: Short North Arts District [North High Street from Goodale Blvd to Fifth Avenue]

Admission: Free!

What: Occurs every first Saturday of each month, thousands of visitors converge on the strip to see new art exhibits and add to their growing collections. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces, it’s Columbus’ favorite night of the month to celebrate art.

New Albany Walking Classic

When:  Sunday September 7th [8am]

Where: New Albany Market Square [220 Market Street, New Albany, OH 43054]

Admission: Refer to New Albany Walking Classic website for entry fee details.

What: Presented by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and organized by the New Albany Walking Club, the Walking Classic is the largest walking-only race in the United States drawing walkers of Olympic caliber as well as recreational walkers whose goal is to walk for health and enjoyment. The Walking Classic offers two choices of distances: a half marathon and a 10k. Participants in both distances will start together.

The total number of entrants for this year’s event will be limited to the first 3000 who sign up, whether for the 10k or the half marathon. Early registration is encouraged as this event sells out early every year.

Easton Fashion Night

When:  Thursday September 18th [6pm-9pm]

Where: Easton Town Center [160 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219]

What: A fabulous evening of fashion, beauty, entertainment, and more! Enjoy promotions and activities with participating retailers.

2014 Columbus Fall Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show

When: Saturday September 20th [10am-4pm]

Where: St. Agatha’s Parish Hall [18560 Northam Road, Columbus, OH 43221]

Admission: Free!

What: Love shopping local handmade arts and crafts? What about shopping sites like Etsy and Pinterest? Then this is the perfect arts and crafts show for you! Enjoy this fun event with friends and family! This large show will feature nearly 100 artists and crafters selling their original handmade items!

2014 Central Ohio Kidney Walk

When: Sunday September 21st [8am-12pm]

Where: Huntington Park [330 Huntington Park Lane, Columbus, OH 43215]

Admission: Free!

What: Presented by the National Kidney Foundation, the Kidney Walk is the nation’s largest walk to fight kidney disease. Held in nearly 100 communities, the event raises awareness and funds lifesaving programs that educate and support patients, their families and those at risk.
