Get Crocked at Wyandotte – Soup, Panini & Wine!

2014 Sundance Film Festival Animated Shorts

When: Wednesday, March 4th [7-9PM]

Where: Wexner Center Film/Video Theater [1871 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43210]

Admission: $6-$8

What: Take a rambunctious ride with some of the world’s most creative animators. The Sundance Film Festival Animated Shorts program features a diverse array of styles, techniques, and genres from recent editions of the festival. Among the highlights are Chris Landreth’s Subconscious Password (2013), Don Hertzfeldt’s It’s Such a Beautiful Day (2011), Julia Pott’s Belly (2011), and Bernardo Britto’s Yearbook (2014), winner of the fest’s Short Film Jury Award for animation. Arnold Sports Festival

When: Thursday March 5th – Sunday March 8th [Thursday 6-11PM, Friday-Saturday 8-10PM]

 

Where: Throughout Columbus

Admission: $10 – $15

What: The Arnold Sports Festival co-produced by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is the largest multi-sport festival in the nation during which the city welcomes more than more than 44,000 sports and fitness fans. The event features 18,000 athletes competing in 50 sports and events including 14 Olympic sports. The three-day Arnold Fitness EXPO at the Greater Columbus Convention Center features more than 900 exhibit booths offering the latest in fitness apparel, equipment and training tools and nutrition.

2015 Dublin Ohio St. Patrick’s Celebration

Colors and Bottles Painting Event

When: Thursday March 19th [7-10PM]

Where: Wyandotte Winery [4640 Wyandotte Drive, Columbus, OH 43230]

Admission: $35

What: Colors and Bottles is a unique opportunity to work with a professional artist to paint a picture. Wine is available by the bottle or the glass during this time. All of our wonderful light menu items are also available for your enjoyment.

Columbus Coffee Tour

When: February 28th – March 21st [Saturday 930AM-1PM]

Where: Columbus Aquatic Center [1160 Hunter Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201]

Admission: $50

What: We will visit three of the premier coffee venues in Columbus. We will start with a visit to Cafe Brioso downtown where we will discuss espresso drinks and the art of the barista. Our second stop will to be Stauf’s roastery to learn about sourcing and roasting coffee. Our final stop will be at Luck Bros in Grandview to hear from Andy Luck about how to improve your coffee making at home. As well as plenty of samples of coffee we’ll also be having some snacks along the way. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the art of coffee making and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Family Rewind – The Wizard of Oz

Where: Studio Movie Grill [175 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, Ohio, 43215]

What: Every third Sunday of the month SMG invites you to rewind back in time to share your favorite childhood movies with family and friends for just $3 per ticket. You’re never too old to feel like a kid again.

2015 Columbus Spring Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show

When: Saturday March 28th [10AM-4PM]

Where: St. Agatha’s Parish Hall [1860 Northam Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43221]

What: Kick cabin fever to the curb and enjoy a day out! This large show will feature nearly 100 artists and crafters selling their original handmade items!
