Upcoming Community Events – April 2015

As the weather starts to brighten up, make the most of it and take advantage of all of the great things that Central Ohio has to offer. Whether you’re looking for an afternoon of family-fun or an evening out with your significant other, you can find it in the area! Here are some fun events going on near you this month.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. New York Islanders

When: Thursday April 2nd [7PM]

What: Join the raucous crowd to cheer on the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena located in the heart of downtown Columbus.

Magic Mountain’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, April 4th [10AM-12PM]

Where: Magic Mountain Fun Center [8350 Lyra Drive, Columbus, OH 43240]

Admission: $4

What: Magic Mountain is hosting its Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Charity Raffle. Children ages 10 & under are welcome to come and join in on all the fun.

Wine & Canvas: Painting Class with Wine

When: Wednesday April 15th [6-9PM]

Where: RockSide Winery & Vineyards [2363 Lancaster-Newark Road NE, Lancaster, OH 43130]

What: Be prepared to create a 16×20, ready to hang work of art with step-by-step instruction, paintbrush in one hand and a refreshment in the other while soaking up some music and laughter! Wine is available by the tasting, glass, or bottle during the event. RockSide Winery & Vineyards offers a small selection of light snacks but outside food is welcome. Please feel free to being snacks with you or order in from one of the nearby pizza/Italian restaurants.

Mini Spa Night

When: Thursday April 16th [6-9PM]

Where: Camelot Cellars Winery [958 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43021]

Admission: $15

What: We’re changing it up with an all new Mini Spa Night this month! Reverse Vanity Spa in the Short North will be supplying all you ladies with professional massages, nails, skin care & makeup services. Not only will you be pampered to perfection, but you will also be provided with fresh appetizers accompanied by an olive oil tasting, compliments of the Green Olive Company.

What: Get messy with classic COSI activities for young children including flubber, clean mud, digging for dinosaur fossils and much, much more!

Columbus Clippers Baseball vs. Toledo

When: April 18th – April 19th [Saturday 6:05PM, Sunday 1:05PM]

Where: Huntington Park [330 Huntington Park Lane, Columbus, OH 43215]

What: Come cheer on the Columbus Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and enjoy breathtaking views of Huntington Park, one of the best ballparks in the U.S.

Earth Day

Where: Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Gardens [1777 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43203]

What: Celebrate Earth Day and Columbus’ gardening community on the ScottsMiracle-Gro Community Garden Campus. Stroll the edible gardens, meet local community gardeners and get lunch from local food trucks, Blue Olive and Ajumama.

Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Presents: Circus Xtreme

When: April 23rd – April 26th [Thursday & Friday 7 PM., Saturday 11 AM, 3 PM & 7 PM, Sunday 1 PM & 5 PM]

Where: Schottenstein Center [555 Borror Drive, Columbus, OH 43210]

What: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Circus Xtreme takes audiences on an unexpected quest with contemporary acts fused with iconic circus traditions. Don’t miss exhilarating acts like jaw-dropping freestyle BMX riders and free runners. These urban performers fill the arena floor interwoven with crazy-stunts on a thin slack wire and acrobats rappelling through a three-story tower!
