Central Ohio Calendar of Events – March 2018

As the winter melts itself away, get out of the house and enjoy all of the lovely things Central Ohio has to offer. Arnold Sports Festival

When: Thursday, March 1st – Sunday, March 4th

Where: Greater Columbus Convention Center [400 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43215]

Admission: $15 – In Advance | $20 – At The Door

What: The nation’s largest multi-sport festival brings 20,000 athletes from 80 nations to Columbus to compete in 70 sports ranging from bodybuilding to equestrian.

2018 Columbus Spring Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show

When: Saturday, March 3rd [10AM-4PM]

Where: Makoy Event Center [5462 Center Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026]

Admission: $3

What: Kick off our show year with us at our annual spring event in Columbus! This large show will feature artists and crafters selling their original handmade items at this beautiful venue! Admission is $3 to the public, children under 12 are free! This event will also have a full concessions stand on site provided by the venue. A portion of proceeds will benefit local non-profit, Hope Hollow. This show is currently accepting vendors. Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights

When: Tuesday, March 6th [7PM]

Where: Nationwide Arena [200 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215]

What: Be a part of the Las Vegas Golden Knights first trip to Nationwide Arena! The only National Hockey League franchise in Ohio, the Columbus Blue Jackets play at Nationwide Arena, located in the heart of the Arena District in downtown Columbus.

All American Columbus Pet Expo

When: Friday, March 9th – Sunday, March 11th

Where: Ohio Expo Center & State Fair [717 E 17th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211]

What: The All American Columbus Pet Expo and Kids Fest will be in the Multi-Purpose building! The All About Cats Expo will be in the Ohio Building! Three big shows in one fun weekend! Check back as we populate the site over the year with everything you can expect at the show. We will have everything you loved from both events! We are excited to make this the greatest pet and family fun event we have ever put on.

Columbus Blue Crew vs. Montreal Impact

When: Saturday, March 10th [1PM]

Where: MAPFRE Stadium [1 Black and Gold Blvd, Columbus, OH 43211]

What: Join the raucous crowd to cheer on the Crew SC and see why Columbus has become internationally recognized as a soccer haven in the United States.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: Saturday, March 10th [11AM-1230PM]

Where: Historic Dublin [S High Street, Dublin, Ohio 43017]

What: City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a regional parade that appeals to Dublin residents as well as visitors from throughout Ohio. Dublin, OH has the Greenest, Grandest Parade! The day starts with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast and continues with the parade stepping off at approximately 11 a.m. After the parade, guests can frequent Dublin establishments where Irish entertainment and specials are featured. Approximately 110 units including marching bands, clowns, floats and giant balloons are featured in each parade before an estimated crowd of 20,000 guests.

Demi Lovato & DJ Khaled

When: Wednesday, March 14th [730PM]

Where: Schottenstein Center [555 Borror Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43210]

What: Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer and songwriter Demi Lovato announces her North American tour, with special guest multi-platinum, hip-hop icon DJ Khaled. Produced by Live Nation, the 20-city-run includes a March 14, 2018, stop at the Schottenstein Center.

Blake Shelton

When: Thursday, March 15th [7PM]

Where: Nationwide Arena [200 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215]

What: Country Superstar Blake Shelton kicked off 2017 “Doing It To Country Songs,” and he will jump into 2018 with fellow “Country Music Freaks” on a just announced tour hitting the road alongside Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce, and special guest Trace Adkins this Spring including March 15, 2018 at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus International Auto Show

When: Thursday, March 15th – Sunday, March 18th

Where: Greater Columbus Convention Center [400 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215]

What: Each year the Columbus International Auto Show rolls into town with displays of the latest and greatest models and automotive technologies. See all your favorite sports cars, sedans, SUVs, and minivans, go for a test drive or two, and take a walk down memory lane with the classics. It’s an auto show, and so much more!

Puddles Pity Party

When: Tuesday, March 20th [730PM]

Where: Southern Theatre [21 E Main Street, Columbus, OH 43215]

Admission: $33 – $43

What: The “Sad Clown with the Golden Voice” has amassed 286k fans on Facebook and more than 76 million views on YouTube with his indelible interpretations by ABBA, Bowie, Cheap Trick, Queen, and his unforgettable mash-up of “Pinball Wizard/Folsom Prison Blues.” Peppered with a brilliant sent of the absurd, Puddles Pity Party is a must-see performance of his melodramatic anthems and unique comedic hijinks, mixing lots of humor with the awkward, tender moments.
