Central Ohio Calendar of Events – March 2019

As the winter melts itself away, get out of the house and enjoy all of the lovely things Central Ohio has to offer. Arnold Sports Festival

When: Thursday, March 1st – Sunday, March 3th

Where: Greater Columbus Convention Center [400 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43215]

Admission: $20 – In Advance | $25 – At The Door

What: The nation’s largest multi-sport festival brings 20,000 athletes from 80 nations to Columbus to compete in 70 sports ranging from bodybuilding to equestrian.

Gallery Hop

When: Saturday, March 2nd  [4PM-10PM]

Where: Short North Arts District [886 N. High Street, 4th Floor, Columbus, OH 43201]

What: Restaurants and bars stay open considerably later during the gallery hop. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces, it’s Columbus’ favorite night of the month to celebrate art. Hop til you drop.  As the “art and soul” of Columbus, the Short North is a vibrant cultural and business community. The nationally acclaimed Gallery Hop is held on the first Saturday of the month. As mentioned in the Huffington Post, Short North is the”Artistic hub of Columbus” and hosts the Gallery Hop which is given the title of being the “Best art event in Ohio” according to Ohio Magazine.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Edmonton Oilers

When: Saturday, March 2th [7PM]

Where: Nationwide Arena [200 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215]

Admission: Starting at $10

What: The only National Hockey League franchise in Ohio, the Columbus Blue Jackets play at Nationwide Arena, located in the heart of the Arena District in downtown Columbus.  The Blue Jackets play in the NHL’s Eastern Conference and host games at Nationwide Arena from mid-September through mid-April.

Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: Saturday, March 16th [12PM-1:30PM]

Where: Dublin, Ohio [Historic Dublin S. High S., Dublin, OH 43017]

Admission: Free

What: City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a regional parade that appeals to Dublin residents as well as visitors from throughout Ohio. Dublin, OH has the Greenest, Grandest Parade! The day starts with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast and continues with the parade stepping off at approximately 11 a.m. After the parade, guests can frequent Dublin establishments where Irish entertainment and specials are featured. Approximately 110 units including marching bands, clowns, floats and giant balloons are featured in each parade before an estimated crowd of 20,000 guests.

Breakfast Food Tour

When: Saturday, March 2nd & Saturday March 23rd [9:30 AM -1:30PM]

Where: Dublin, Ohio [Historic Dublin S. High S., Dublin, OH 43017]

Admission: $62 and includes: tastings at five stops; air-conditioned van transportation (to and from downtown Columbus and all stops in-between); and will be guided by Nick Dekker, aka Dr Breakfast.

What: Take a tour of the “breakfast mecca” and learn how Columbus likes to start the day! It’s your chance to have breakfast on a tour of five stops that demonstrate why the New York Post called Columbus a “breakfast mecca.” The tour includes: old school diners, donuts, a taste of brunch, a modern bakery, and a neighborhood favorite.

Dierks Bentley: Burning Man

What: Current three-time CMA nominee Dierks Bentley announced that his 2019 BURNING MAN TOUR will plan Nationwide Arena March 29, 2019 with special guests Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes and Hot Country Knights. Bentley is known to “pull out all the stops, not quitting until the crowd is whipped into a frothy frenzy” and will continue to do so in 2019 with the run named after his “most affecting song” and hit single “Burning Man.”

Justin Timberlake: “Man of the Woods Tour”

When: Saturday, March 31st [7:30 PM]

Where: Nationwide Arena [200 West Nationwide Blvd., Columbus, OH 43215]

What: The show is being praised for its 360-degree multistage layout featuring an extensive winding walkway, simulating a path in the woods, which allows Timberlake and his dancers to get closer to fans on all sides.The performance includes sleek dance numbers, cutting edge lasers and 3D projections to bring to life the set list filled with fresh takes on his slew of hit songs, from his five chart-topping albums, including “Mirrors,” “Sexyback,” “Suit &Tie,” “My Love,” and the Oscar-nominated “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”
