The annual Founders Day Celebration began in 1976, as part of the nation’s bi-centennial celebration. Funded by community donations, this event celebrates the founding members who developed the Plain Township/New Albany area. Real estate sales volume for New Albany, Ohio continues to rise.  The real estate tracking website, Trulia.com, shows that for the 3 week period from April 7 through 28 the sales volume for New Albany Ohio was up over 75% compared with the same 3 week period in 2009.

It is a great time to buy a New Albany home.  The median sales price of a home in New Albany is approximately 19% less than it was a year ago.  Combine the decrease in home prices with low mortgage rates and an ideal buyer’s market is created.

The Raines Group Sells Homes - Fast!

The statistics for April 2010 have been revealed, and The Raines Group once again has shown that they are number one in the New Albany Country Club. Of the eleven units sold, The Raines Group had nearly half of those listings, proving that they know how to get listings sold.  Even more amazing is that two of the listings were on the market for less than a week before going into contract, two of them were over one million dollars, and all listings sold for over 92.8% of the lising price.

The New Albany Symphony Orchestra is hosting a 4-mile walk/run around scenic New Albany, Ohio. The race will take place on Sunday, April 25th at 9:00am and begins and ends at Market Square, and is offering over 50 prizes. Additionally, there will be free Starbucks at the finish line for everyone!

Registration for this event is $30. The first 400 participants receive a technical racing shirt, and participants that donate an additional $10 will receive a voucher for one free ticket to the Springtime in Rome concert on April 18, 2010.
