New Albany boasts a middle and high school campus consisting of 13 buildings that house an Information and Technology Center, an athletic complex with an 8-mile all weather track, extensive training and weight rooms and an impressive 18,000 sq foot arts building. The centrally located campus is linked to surrounding neighborhoods by a leisure trail system and is surrounded by an 80 acre nature preserve.
The community of New Albany recognizes and places great value in its’ educational system. New Albany schools educators believe that learning encompasses more than just the classroom experience. They believe learning extends to the community and family as well.
Technology is a priority at New Albany Plain Local Schools. The school offers 7 computer courses from Introduction to Programming to the Advanced Placement Java. The Digital Network Assistants Program is comprises of students responsible for building and maintaining over 500 campus computers.
The school district partners with local government, business and the greater Columbus College and universities and art community to provide an educational experience that includes academic rigor, culture and character.
New Albany students score at the highest levels in the state on the standardized and state mandated tests. 97% of students go on to college. New Albany recognizes that its’ schools and its’ children are a valuable asset for community progress.
