Make Some Plans for Memorial Day 2021
As May comes to an end, Memorial Day weekend is nearing! Still looking for great ways to spend your long weekend? We’ve got you covered! Here is a list of wonderful Memorial Day activities in Central Ohio! No matter where you decide to go, remember to honor the amazing veterans who fought and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country!
National Veterans Memorial & Museum Events

When: May 23rd – 31st
Where: National Veterans Memorial & Museum, Columbus
What: Honor our brave veterans who lost their lives to protect our nation by visiting the National Veterans Memorial and Museum or attending one of their many events for Memorial Day!
Events are as follows: National Veterans Memorial and Museum Run, Walk, Ruck & Roll (virtual event: register by May 15th and complete your run, walk, ruck or roll the week of Memorial Day); The Wall That Heals (the exhibit will be open May 28th through the 31st); Gold Star Candlelight Vigil (May 28th); Ride to National Veterans Memorial and Museum (May 29th); Exclusive Premiere Screening of Tracie Hunter’s newest documentary (details coming soon); and Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony (May 31st, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.).

Downtown Powell & Greater Powell Veterans Memorial
When: May 31st, 10:00 a.m.
Where: Downtown Powell
What: Celebrate our veterans with this patriotic parade in Liberty Township! The parade will also be livestreamed for those who can’t make it in person. There will be a special ceremony at the Greater Powell Veterans Memorial directly after the parade.

Worthington Memorial Day Parade

When: May 31st, 10:00 a.m.
Where: E. Dublin-Granville Road & Cemetery Drive, Worthington
What: Not close to Powell? That’s okay, we have you covered! Worthington will also be putting on a Memorial Day parade!

Columbus Crew SC Games
When: May 29th, 3:00 p.m.
Where: Mapfre Stadium, Columbus
What: Cheer on Columbus’s Soccer Club on Memorial Day with friends and family as they take on the Toronto FC! Pride night will also be held on this day at Mapfre Stadium!

Columbus Clippers Baseball Game

When: May 29th, 3:00 p.m.
Where: Huntington Park, Columbus
What: Enjoy the weekend with your family and friends at Huntington Park cheering on the Columbus Clippers! The Clippers will be facing Nashville in the six-series games, with four of those games being promotion nights!
